My own view and review of our Quinny Moodd

After having the Moodd for 4 months...the Quinnycasters have now come to the final task...it feels a little sad as its become second nature to write about well everything I've done with it!

Fun week by week challenges...exploring the pushchair...getting to know its every nook and cranny! I've loved every minute and would do it again and again!

So this is my final task...to review the Moodd:

What QUINNY say about the MOODD ;

Moodd

The majestic stroller

Pure poetry in motion! Packing style and smart features like one-touch automatic unfolding, the compact and complete Quinny Moodd stroller offers you the flexibility to zip around the city. Go where your Moodd takes you today and every day!

Moodd specifications

Typestroller/ pushchair
Age of childbirth to 3½ years
Weightmax 15kg

Unfolds automatically
Smart travel system
Two way reclining seat from birth
With the benefits of an adjustable footrest/pushbar...detachable wheels...high protection sun canopy..rain over...repellent covers...shopping basket and swivel wheel!

What I think of the Moodd...my complete honest opinion!!!

I LOVE IT...I can't fault it...have found it to be the best pushchair I've used! Both Elijh and I have enjoyed it..me pushing it...him beig pushed in it!

. The height of the seat makes for a good view for little one being pushed as well as making it easier to talk to and give little one snacks!
. The T-bar makes being in the pushchair fun and keeps little one secure.
.Seat unit is extremely comfy...practically molds to little ones bum.
.the uv/water repellent hood does exactly what is says...for little shows its great and saves you pulling out the raincover.
.Adjustable handle bar is great..being a midget I found it was already a perfect height but my fiancé being close to 6 foot could pull the handle up and have just as fun pushing as I did without breaking his back.
.After 4 months of usage I still haven't had any problem with scratches on the frame and I love the black frame.
.I didn't get much use if it thanks to the weather but I love the footmuf..Elijh was snug as a bug and fell asleep with ease in it.
.The removable wheels...which come of so quick make it easier to get the pushchair into my boot leaving space for other things.

THE MOODD IS A MUST HAVE BUT FOR ALL MUMS & DADS FOR THEIR LITTLE ONES...But there is one point that needs a little fine tuning...its the only things I could pick fault on...but as this is an honest review I had to add them:

.The frame is a little too large and I've stuggled to get it through normal sized doors as well as some retail shops rails.
.The basket is too small to fit the kind of shopping I do on...needs to be either deeper or wider or infact both...as you can see from a coupe of pics I've done my best to squeeze what I can on but would make like easier if it was larger.

So if your taking my advice and review on board you'd head out right now and purchase yourself the one and only MOODD!!!!

So this is the end of my Quinnycasters road...thanks to Quinny who made this review possible for me...it's given me a buzz and I've enjoyed being part of the team...and to the other Quinnycasters who without even meeting have been great to meet them all and I shall continue to follow their blogging journeys!

GOODBYE!!!!! : (

MY OWN BLOG WILL NOW CONTINUE ON

A day great out

We met up with a group of friends and their children in a park....we all had a great day...armed with a picnic and blanket!

It was a bit hot that day and we had a bit much to carry on public transport so I opted for the car!

A "stroller" down memory lane

Our favourite brands

This task was to pick out our 3 favourite brands excluding Quinny...

Didn't take me long to think about..

CONVERSE: we all wear and live in the well except Daddy!!

KELLOGG'S: we have a cupboard dedicated to cereal

Last but not least

PRIMARK: this is most defiantly a family favourite

Task 8...I spy my best view!!!

This task got my thinking! My best view...well I have a few...but being honest there no better view than my family!!! (As cheesy as it sounds!!!)

But the view I most love to look at probably has to be Windsor Castle...and on the right day and at the right part of the Castle the view is amazing!!!!

Unfortunately for me we didn't get to a better part of the castle...by the time we did I had two tired ratty children on my hands and the view wouldn't of been good for you!!!!!

Task 7...home made by me!

This task involved making or showing off a previously home made item!

My house is a project in progress and I haven't yet created anything for the children but I am currently making bits for my wedding in 8 weeks!

So I thought I'd show those off...

My table plan and favour boxes...

I plan to use the frame after the wedding and put it up in the house!

Making these has made me want to do them for others..so we shall see!!!

As for other projects...the littles room is next...decoupaged picture frames and furniture! Better crack on with it....

Task 6 hotspot take 2....

Task 6 involves a visit to 3 local hotspots and blog about how well the pushchair handles!!!

I covered my local hotspots a couple of weeks ago and I'm gonna think outside the box a little!!

So we visited a farm...the local shopping centre and at the weekend were going car booting!!!

Not all particularly hotspots for little people but shopping for me is a definite hotspot!!

A day to dress up...task 5

So task 5 involved us getting dressed up and getting a snap of us looking lovely!!

I was lucky enough to of been invited to a family christening and for us it made a change to dress up to the nines...

As you can see Myas in a pretty dress along with Converse and Elijh in a shirt..tie..braced chinos as well as a pair of converse! I did my usual and wore black...dress...tights and shoes!!!

My nightmare that day I forgot the Moodd so the next day we took the pushchair out and I dressed up well a little and we got a snap of us dressed and ready to go out...
As you can see I've some how managed to get us all matching!!!

Task 5 done...I'm halfway through the tasks and task 6 goes up next week!!!

Quinny task 4

This task required a vintage style portrait!!

Easy enough as every friday we have a family gathering at my in laws...take away and a catch up! Especially nice for the children because they get to see their 5 cousins!

There can be up to 16 of us on a Friday.. Just my luck not everybody was there this week when I have a task that means getting a massive family portrait but there was enough!!! And was lucky enough to snap 6 or the 7 children a couple of weeks ago!!

Here's my final pic.....

Task 3 Elijh wasn't really in the Moodd to nap

I tried my best to get a snap of Elijh snoozing in the Moodd thankfully with a little success....this was taken near Chelsea harbour where my brother and sister in law run a pub! Annoyingly a missed the loud helicopter taking off...who knows how he slept through that!

I'd tried a few days out to get him to sleep but to no avail! I'd even asked him to close his eyes so it may look like he was sleeping! But no it just looks like he's got he eyes shut!!!!!!

Then I went through my phone and found places both children had fallen asleep..the sofa(with the cat)...the car...mine and daddy's bed...but the best I've found is Elijh sleeping in an ikea trolly!!!

Children are so unpredictable...they will literally fall asleep anywhere..It's always they way when you want them to sleep they don't! And upon writing up my task on the Quinny Facebook app Elijh decided to have the best nap ever on my lap!!!

Task 3 time...

So I've received my email for task 3....

Find some sleepy spots....

Snap or video your little one napping in its Moodd!!

My dilemma is Elijh never ever naps in his pushchair unless he's fallen asleep in the car and I've lifted him out!! (See pic)

This is most definitely a task for us!!

But I'm up for the challenge as always...mission make Elijh nap in his Moodd commences...

Task 2 is complete...

Can I say I actually enjoyed going to our favourite hot spots for our QuinnyCasters second task....

We visited the Bunny Park in Hanwell, Ruislip Lido, Northolt&Greenford country park and discovered a sand park in Hanwell extremely close to home! I also took a walk down the canal with Elijh and had a couple of visits to our local parks!!

It's so easy to find free places to take young children...it's just a case of what you know!!!!

We always visit a few of these places but its always better when the weather is a bit warmer...the sun makes such a difference as well as having our Quinny Moodd joining us on our expeditions...it makes such a difference having a good pushchair especially when your walking a lot and going across all different grounds!! I'm impressed with how well it handled...especially the 2 lots of sand!!!

The next task begins next Wednesday...ill be back then...

Murphy Moodd gets a delivery...

So exciting when extras arrive at your door! Last week we received a drinks holder and today we got the footmuff!!!

Both are amazing items...
The drinks holder is extremely handy...I use it for Elijhs juice cause he drinks so much I need it close to hand.

The footmuff is beautiful..all I can say is snug as a bug!!! Elijh decided to use it as a sleeping bag at first so I knew he wouldn't mind it in the pushchair!

I took the pushchair out today with the footmuff added and it was perfect...we went to ruislip lido which is a fantastic open space...But it was a bit windy even though the sun was out! Elijh looked so comfortable and was really happy to be in the Moodd!!

This is an addition to my current task where Quinny has asked us #quinnycaster to find local hotspots to take the family!!

I have another to go to and then I'm ready for task 3....

Task 2 begins....

So task 1 has been completed and now up on the Quinny Facebook app page https://www.facebook.com/quinny.uk/app_346893805415368...

The children and I enjoyed our unpacking party and were looking forward to Task 2 which I've found out is a 2 week challenge!

"Find some free hotspots" Places to take little people without opening your purse!!

This suits me fine...I already have a couple of place I regularly go with the children..infact without even knowing the task Elijh our Moodd and I took a picnic and went to out local animal park!! The weather was good and Mya was busy at nursery so why not!! I shall also begin a search of other free places to take my family...

watch this blog...I shall be back with the progress...

Let the fun begin...QuinnyCasters challenge 1!

So today (wed 17th April) is delivery day of my Moodd...could arrive anytime between 8 & 5... So I'm waiting and poor Mya isn't at Nursery so I don't miss it...I receive a email to say the first task is online...challenge 1..."have a quinny unpacking party" and blog the process!

9.05 am....

There's a knock at the door! "who could it be?" Yep you've guessed it...a rather large box filled with a spanking new Quinny Moodd!
I'm so excited right now...I tell the delivery guy not to worry about taking it up! "It's ok...I'll do it" I said!!! Erm ok!!..Now I've for to carry it up a flight of stairs!!!!! What makes this alright is the look on Elijhs face as I'm coming up with something for him!!
I carry the box into the spare room and tell the children we can open it once the housework's done! In the meantime they have both fallen sound asleep and forgotten all about it! I'm itching to get in there while their asleep but fight the urge...it's not just for me!!!

12.30pm
Their awake!!! I quickly make a few bits for their lunch and tell them it's time to put the new toy together!!

Whoopee! We begin the unveiling...Myas getting involved telling Elijh to help...we lift the lid and voila it's right there ready to be constructed!
I empty the contents of the box and place it to one side...find the instruction and my first challenge begins! In the meantime the littles have discovered the box and are now asking to eat their lunch in it!! "Why not!" It's a "Quinny unpacking party" after all!
While their occupied I pick up the instruction manual and begin...chassis check...add back wheels check...by this time the littles are out of the box and getting involved...Elijh pushes on the wheels while Mya unwraps the seat unit!
I'm now looking for the front wheel but where is it...oh there it is the children have made it a spinny toy...so I make it a game..."who wants to be the first one in?" Mya pipe's up..."Here Mummy!"...looks like she's first then!! Front wheel on and basket now fitted with push air upright! Seat clicks in very easily! And it's beginning to take shape!
Elijh has now decided the basket is somewhere to sleep and is awkwardly laying underneath! He is a little loon!
Time for the hood..un-click the seat and slide it in..whoops thats not right have to give it another go...I forgot to remove the plastic sides so I can attach the hood properly! Re-click the seat in place and remove the nest! (Elijhs a tad too large for the nest)
The hardest part of all was trying to remove the plastic bit to replace it with the T-bar....push the button under whilst sliding the bit out!!!! well that didn't working..its too slippery...so i had to get a screwdriver to slip between the groove! (was being so gentle I didn't want to scratch it!!) Hey presto I did it!!! All done! Time to test it with one of the littles in!
Well that proved interesting cause I thought it'd be best if my mini Quinnycaster Elijh have first go (even though my bribe earlier meant Mya was meant to be but whoops!!!) The children are very excited...Mya's keeps saying the "I love the new pushchair mummy!!" So to distract her from the hole who's first scenario I decide we should give it a name! We decide to call him Murphy Moodd or Mooddy Murphy...Mya likes its so that's what it is!! Elijh come to me with his dummy and ragadoo (comforter)..so I know he's ready to ride! We got for a little spin round the house and back to the spare room! Where Mya is so excited bless her...I swap them over and well that caused more problems! There's now more than one Moodd in the house...Elijh isn't impressed...thing he realises it for him and his sisters taking over his new set of wheels!!
We're soon over that and experimenting with the choice of rear or forward facing and the pushchairs capability of reclining to a flat position!! The children are getting bored and Peppa has attracted their attention but not mine...I'm now making use of all the button and finding out what does what...so easy to put down unlike what other reviews I've read....and outing it back up with the one click its great...doesn't pop in instantly so I gave it a little assistance!

And now it's down and ready to go in the car...I'm taking it for its first test drive tomorrow and hope to get some good shots of me using it as well as a real review of it on the road.....

Thurs 18th...

Took the pushchair for a spin around the shops...and a quick go in the park(well before the sky opened!!) The Moodd handles the road extremely well...it's very light and the hydraulics are great! The trip I the park proved great too...the raincover went on in seconds...and Elijh was instantly protected from the downpour!

Highly impressed so far....
Ready for what ever other challenges come my way....
